A renowned film director and producer from Singapore. In 1998, he was ranked as one of the 25 exceptional trend makers of Asia by <Asiaweek> magazine. His first feature film <Mee Pok Man> (1995) put Singapore on the international film map, picking up prizes at Fukuoka, Busan and Singapore. His second feature <12 Storeys> (1997) was the first Singaporean film to be officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival. His third feature, <Be With Me> (2005), opened the Director's Fortnight at Cannes. <My Magic> (2008) was nominated for the Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival and was voted as one of the top five films of that year by Le Monde. |

Born in 1965, LEE majored in Business at the University of Southern California. He won the New Currents Award at the Busan International Film Festival for <The Charming Girl> (2005), and was invited to various film festivals abroad, including Berlin, Sundance, and Hong Kong. He has been credited for his unique and delicate film directing, through <Love Talk> (2005), and <Ad-Lib Night> (2006), which had been invited to Karlovy Vary and Berlin respectively, and <My Dear Enemy> (2008), won the Best Director Award at the Paeksang Arts Awards. His recent film, <Come Rain, Come Shine> (2011) was selected to the Berlin International Film Festival. |

Born in Bangkok. He studied Art History at Pratt Institute in New York City. He made his debut film in 1997 with a movie that broke the mold of Thai cinema called <Fun Bar Karaoke>. The film was premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. His subsequent films were all selected to Berlin, Venice and Cannes film festivals and they have won numerous awards from around the world. He is one of the directors who have helped to reinvent the Thai film industry since its slump in the 1990s, and has pioneered both the trend of looking back at retro Thai pop culture for inspiration and the expansion of Thai cinema into the realms of international co-production. |

Born in 1949, after working as an assistant director in films such as <In the Realm of Senses> (1976) directed by Nagisa OSHIMA, he made his sensational directorial debut in 1983 with <Mosquito on the 10th Floor> which was invited to Venice Film Festival. His 1993 film <All under the Moon>, won all the major film awards in Japan making him an important director in Japanese film industry. His films include <Doing Time> (2002), the major box-office success <Quill> (2003), and <Blood and Bones> (2004) starring Takeshi KITANO, where he won Best Director at the Japanese Academy Awards. His latest, <Kamui> (09) was screened in the Toronto International Film Festival. |

YEH, born in 1973, is a top Korean actress, known for a distinct and cheerful acting style. She graduated from the National High School of Traditional Arts and the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and debuted in <Madang nori: Hwang Jini> (1996). She won the Best Actress Award at the eighth Pusan Film Critics Awards for <Old Miss Diary> (2004, dir. KIM Suk Yoon). She also appeared in <Turning Gat> (2002, dir. HONG Sangsoo), <So Cute> (2004, dir. KIM Su-hyun), <HAHAHA> (2010, dir. HONG Sangsoo), and <HANJI> (2010, dir. IM Kwon taek). |
